There are problems doing this if I install the very easy to use Patched Sur. Macbook Pro 13 inch mid 2012 laptop Intel 2.5ghz Core i5 processor 8gb ram with backlit keyboard fully working Intel Core i5 processor - 2.5ghz x2 500gb hard drive (can upgrade to ssd if needed) 8gb ram memory 13. My main problem now is what method to use to upgrade to Big Sur in a way that makes it easy or even possible to upgrade to Monterey.

I read somewhere that with these upgrades my MacBook still won't be as fast as a 2018 Mac, but all I can say to that is "What's the hurry?" I think it will be faster than most if not all Windows laptops sold in 2022. I didn't manage to do anything else such as run Cinebench, edit a video with iMovie, or create a track using Logic Pro, though.
